I am a postdoctoral scholar at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego working with Luc Lenain.
I was previously a postdoctoral researcher at Brandeis University and California Institute of Technology in the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences, working with Albion Lawrence and Jörn Callies. Before this I was at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and was a guest researcher at the Center for Computational Astrophysics in the Flatiron Institute. I completed my Ph.D. in Astrophysics with James Y-K. Cho at Queen Mary University of London.
My research is in atmospheric and oceanic fluid dynamics, using numerical models and satellite observations to understand how vortices, turbulence, and waves shape rotating, stratified flows, from Earth’s ocean and atmosphere to giant planets, exoplanets, and other astrophysical systems.
Research interests: Physical oceanography, geophysical fluid dynamics, wavelet analysis, topological data analysis, satellite observations.
